We recomend that you order a European Health Insurance Card if you live in the European Union.

Since 1 January 2006, the European Health Insurance Card is issued to European citizens who are travelling within the European Economic Area (i.e. the European Union, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) and Switzerland, for private or professional reasons. This card simplifies the procedure when receiving health care during a stay in one of these countries.

This means that you are entitled to the same healt care as a person living in Sweden, the same fees and restrictions apply as well.

Please check your regular insurance and travel insurance for other details and information.
